Ingredients

  • 1 (15-ounce) can fruit cocktail in juice
  • 1 (16.5-ounce) box Butter Recipe Yellow Deluxe cake mix
  • 1/2 cup sweet cream unsalted butter, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream, optional, for serving
  • Whole maraschino cherries, optional, for garnish

How to Make

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Pour fruit cocktail, with juices, into prepared dish in an even layer.
  3. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over fruit—do not stir.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over top of cake mix, covering as many dry spots as possible.
  5. Bake until top is golden-brown and edges are bubbling, about 30–35 minutes.
  6. Let cake cool for at least 10 minutes. Top with a scoop of ice cream, garnish with a cherry, and serve warm.
